How this was chosen
Selections rest on what each school publishes about the JD itself: clinics, moot and advocacy training, concentrations, joint degrees and exchanges. No programs are ranked and sponsorship plays no part. Research is partial: only schools in the directory were assessed, and many were not examined in depth.
Criteria
- Named clinics and experiential components within the JD
- Required or supported advocacy and research training
- Concentrations, joint degrees or exchange options
- Clear program structure published by the school
- Geographic spread where evidence supports it
Limitations
The American Bar Association approved-schools list could not be fetched (access blocked), so ABA approval is not asserted here and should be checked directly. No bar passage or employment figures are used, and no ranking publications were verified. Evidence for other non-US JD programs (Japan, Korea, Philippines, Qatar) and many US schools was not assessed in depth, and several school sites blocked automated access.
Sponsorship never buys inclusion in, or the order of, an editorial selection. Methodology · Sponsorship disclosure
