Law School Tuition and Funding

Why annual, per-credit and whole-program fees cannot be compared, and where law students find funding.

Last reviewed 1 November 2026

Billing bases

Law fees are published per year, per term, per credit or for the whole program. These are different questions and are never ranked against each other here. Fees are shown in the original currency, with the academic year they apply to, and different fee categories (domestic, international, in-state) are kept separate.

Beyond tuition

Mandatory fees, application fees, deposits, books and living costs are separate lines. A school may publish tuition without them.

Funding

Funding takes forms such as scholarships, bursaries, assistantships, grants, loans and payment plans. A loan is not a scholarship. We record only funding that the school's own page names.

Check the date

Fees change every year. Each price on this site shows the date it was checked.
